Your Body Heat Can Power Electronics!

In the gadget world, one of the biggest issues we have relates to the thing that makes the gadgets go: power. We've either got to plug it in, use batteries, or a combination of the two. Batteries need to be changed or charged and don't last long enough. Wires are just annoying.
There are two ways to solve these kinds of "power" problems. You can either figure out how to get more power into a battery, or you can just use less power. The folks at Fraunhofer Institute have figured out a way to make gadgets run with under 200 millivolts of power. It turns out we can get that much power just from our own body heat.
Where this is going to be insanely useful is in the medical field. Imagine being able to hook up various sensors to your body. They run off your body heat and transmit their readings wirelessly. Both patient and doctor benefit from this tangle-free experience.
