If you are worried about the environment and the gas prices that make you spend a lot of money, there is one small Yamaha Scooter that you will probably like because it uses a different kind of fuel. It is a liquid methanol-water solution that makes the Yamaha scooter work, while using this system there is no need for a converter or a fuel tank and therefore it becomes lighter.
The codename is Yamaha FC-Me and for now it is just a prototype but there are plans of making it available for the public on the future, that is why Yamaha signed a contract with Shizuoka Prefecture to get leasing support.
By optimizing the control parameters for the fuel cell system, Yamaha's engineers have achieved an energy conversion rate for the FC-me that is 1.5 times that of the FC06 PROTO, while re-evaluation of the body components has made possible a light machine weight of just 69 kg.
