Cleaning and de-cluttering my desk was probably certainly not drove Xerox and their research and development on their new paper concept, but it will certainly be the result. Xerox has been developed, for tech demo purposes, erasable paper. Don't laugh; it is actually a very cool concept.

I don't know how many times I have printed out meeting agendas, quick emails, directions to an event, or even lecture notes that were absolutely useless to me minutes after using them. All of this paper ends up cluttering my desk and eventually in my trash. If the printing on this paper would just "go away," then I could Reuse the paper, and that is exactly what Xerox is thinking.

Xerox's erasable paper concept causes the "ink" on the page to simply fade away after 24 hours. Xerox has said, defending this concept, that 40% of office printed material become useless and obsolete within 24 hours. That is a ton of garbage that can be avoided if and when the erasable paper concept hits the streets.
