XBOX 360 Wal-Mart Demo Creating A Buzz
With all of the discussion on the web about, "is the Xbox 360 up and running at Wal-Mart?" I thought I'd check it out for myself. Sure enough the system is up and running as you can see from these photos taken today! I decided to play the demos available.
My initial reaction was, "this looks like I'm playing this on my PC." The graphics for the 360 are smooth and crisp! I stood there playing the call of duty 2 demo for about an hour! You have to see the King Kong demo to believe it, that's all I can about it! It left me speechless. I stopped playing because some little kid kept asking me if he could have a turn, and I almost told him to buy his own demo!
The controller has a thinner,better designed then the XBOX. I love the new button layout, with four buttons on the top of the controller. During the Call of Duty 2 demo you use the lower trigger buttons to fire the weapon and zoom in on the target, and the upper trigger buttons to throw the frag and smoke grenades.
Another interesting thing at the demo kiosk was a place you can put your memory card for "bonus" content. It will be interesting to see what "bonus" content means after the launch!
EBGames in the mall where I live also has an XBOX 360 setup with the playable demos. I may be one of "those" people standing in line for hours on release day after testing the XBOX 360.
