There is a serious rumor floating around gadget blogs saying that Microsoft Xbox 360 is developing their own version of the wireless Wiimote controller.
The source, MTV News, states that the controller would have the four face buttons, a stick, a microphone, and possibly an integration of the Xbox Live Vision Camera. We have heard that the project is not going well, and there are a lot of bugs that have to be shaken out if it wants to meet the supposed end-of-the-year deadline.
Well, I suppose time will tell if this rumor true. I think Xbox 360 could use a little boost since HD lost the format wars.

It is not copying...but rather it is keeping up with the competition.

I have to agree, I don't think it's copying, you could have said the same thing about the first ps1 controller. Although nintendo did come up with the wireless version first.

I think the 360 needs a motion remote. I don't think it is copying, I totally agree with Nintendo DSI guy. I got a 360 remote with the XCM Tilt mod and it is pretty sweet, but MSFT needs to make an offical motion remote so game will be made to use motion. Kinda of like the R6 Gold for Nintendo DS has motion, but only homebrew games use it. In my opinion the 360 is the the best console overall, but the Wii has way better interactivety because is supports motion. MSFT needs to add that. Also it is not copying if you change it by 10% or more.
