What’s Cooler than USB Vinyl? How About PCI Tape?

Consumer devices for converting old-school recordings to digital formats seem to be all the rage lately. First there was the USB turntable; now Firebox has a cassette deck that fits into a 5.25" computer bay on your PC (no Mac love here, for some reason) and hooks directly into your Motherboard, giving you the power to record your cassette tapes on to your hard drive. The Plus Deck Cassette Converter, as this little stroke of genius is known, retails for about $130, which seems pretty steep for what will basically be a limited use device for most people.
