What to Put on Your Wrist

ComputerWorld has a new article up about the shift in the role of portable clocks – from the wrist to the pocket, in the form of a cell phone. Apparently all of the cool kids have abandoned the wristwatch as impractical and anachronistic and have returned to the days of the 19th century, when people carried the time around in their pockets, in the form of pocket watches, substituting cell phones for mechanical, gold-plated clocks.
What to wear instead if you're one of the new hip, intelligent crowd who wants to avoid looking staid by wearing a watch? Well, there are numerous gadget watches out there – ones that play mp3s, play video, test for radiation or see if you're ready to become pregnant – although not all of those at the same time.
Personally, I'm still happily rocking the analog watch and will continue to do for as long as it keeps running smoothly. For those of you who want to run it Dick Tracy style, however, the number of interesting options is growing.
