Storage Stuff

The WD Scorpio Blue SATAII 2.5 inch drive certainly is large enough to handle most data requirements. The drive also features the Western Digital WhisperDrive Technology which ensures a quiet opperation, ShockGuard and SecurePark which keep physical damage to a minimum during sudden movements and shock. The only problem is that the drive itself is 12.5mm thick and several laptop manufacturers, including Apple, only allow for drive 9.5mm thick. So the drive is too large to fit in my MacBook, but too small for me to overlook. I am stuck between a rock and a hard drive.
The drive only runs $250 which seems like a great deal since I have paid nearly as much for smaller drives. I am not sure if Western Digital has anyway of physically shrinking the Scorpio Blue 1TB drive, but if they do, I certainly will be first in line to install one in my MacBook.
