You won't be saving the world with this clock, and even if you switched over every clock in your house to this eco-friendly water-powered clock, you wouldn't make a major difference. The water-powered clock is cool however, and it would make a great conversation starter, and it is proof of concept that water (and a pinch of salt) can be used to generate electricity.

The clock runs on a bit of water and salt. It has electrodes that use the ionizationlinks in the water to generate enough current to run the LCD clock. It isn't just a piece of cool technology, it is rather sharp looking as well. It does come in various colors, and is available for the $16. It is set to ship in mid August.

If you do care about the environment, or if you are simply looking for a very unique clock, give this one a shot.
