Watch Your TV and Edit It, Too
To be honest, I don't quite get the whole Media PC thing quite yet. Sure, you can reduce the number of gadgets in your entertainment center and generally make things more organized, which isn't bad by itself, but is that worth spending the money on a new computer? Especially if that computer isn't powerful enough to really play any current PC games on.
Still, the idea of the Media PC seems to be taking off and Klegg Electronics is doing their best to take advantage with the Klegg Media Center Television, which is a 40" display backed with a decent computer and hard drive that will record shows, burn DVDs, rip CDs and allow you to run the standard Windows apps on its Windows XP Media Center OS.
