Washable Mouse by Unotron

Instead of choosing the easiest way but not the best way to clean your keyboard/mouse, why don't you try a washable mouse?

Made by Unotron that also have other washable products like keyboards and card readers, the two new mouses "M10 ScrollSeal Washable Optical Mouse" and "M30 SteriMax 3 Button Washable Optical Mouse" will work just like any others, just because they're washable doesn't mean the performance will drop. Each one is available with or without scroll wheel, and 3 buttons!!

How to clean it? Easy, just look at the image above and imagine the rest:

Unotron says it's also good to "reduce spread of germs" but that's not the best feature I see in this device, because I don't think my (and plenty of others) mouse has germs, if they do you must be doing something wrong.

What I seriously like about this is being able to have the mouse perfectly clean, and a easy/good way of cleaning it.

Interesting stuff, both mouses have been tested to the international standards of IP66 and Nema4X, what are these codes?

  • IP66 - "Ingresse Protection" rating system. The 66 means: dust proof, protected from strong water jets.

  • Nema4X - "National Electrical Manufacturers Association" has established a range of standards for electrical equipment enclosures. NEMA 4X - Type 4X enclosures are intended for indoor or outdoor use primarily to provide a degree of protection against corrosionlinks, windblown dust and rain, splashing water, and hose-directed water; and to be undamaged by the formation of ice on the enclosure.
