VTech LS5145 Cordless Phone
As landlines are about to die, it all comes down to getting a good cell phone signals. When you can't get that, you can use the VTech LS5145, which is able to use both land line or cell phone line. For the land line, this is what we're now referring to as an old-fashioned land-line phone. For the cell, all that needs to be done is place your cell in a 30-foot proximity of the base, and you'll have relayed calls to 5.8GHz Bluetooth handset.
This Vtech cordless phone comes preloaded with 15 ringtones, and you also have the ability to record your own. You should be able to get the VTech LS5145 phone for about $150.

There are some reviews on CNET that say that you can transfer contacts between handsets. Is this true?
