Good news for the soccer fans who use Vodafone as their provider, starting July 2006 you'll be able to receive UEFA Champions league
content via 3G service. The agreement was announced today and it will last for 3 years.
The content includes full time video highlights, preview packages, and in match video goal alerts.
Take note that Vodafone has a long relation with soccer that goes from being the Official Manchester United Sponsor, creating tournaments around the world, and EURO 2004 cover from Vodafone Live.
Peter Bamford from Vodafone, comments: "This new and exclusive partnership with the UEFA Champions League, allows us to build on and consolidate our successful association with football. The UEFA Champions League offers Vodafone two new benefits: firstly it extends Vodafone's football relevance to supporters around the world and secondly it offers fans access to unique and compelling content through the Vodafone network, both of which will increase our brand awareness and drive revenue."
