VMWare Goes Portable

Perhaps you've heard of VMWare: they make virtual OS software that allows you to run multiple OSes in Windows from one host OS. I used to use it when I worked doing quality assurance for a software company; we'd have a machine running Windows XP and use VMWare to run Windows NT, 98 and 2000 on it so we could do more tests without buying more computers. It was pretty cool.
Today I see that VMWare is taking their virtual computer thing a step further: they're putting it on the road. You can now install the newest version of their ACE Enterprise Desktop Management software onto a USB drive via a solution called Pocket ACE. The idea is that you'll be able to go to other offices or work locations and run a secure desktop, courtesy of ACE, without having to tote along a laptop. It seems like a pretty cool concept to me.
