Viewsonic has Stepped Up the Photo Frames

I don't own a digital photo frame; my wife does, but I have never found one that fit my needs. I have this prerequisite for my gadgets that they are multi-fuction and as dynamic as possible. I have never been able to justify the purchase of a one trick pony device. Since most digital frames tend to be just digital frames, I have never bought the bullet.
The Viewsonic DPG801BK and DPG807BK might tempt me enough to dive in. Both of these devices are 8" photo frames, but they offer much more. They include SwifTouch touch-screen technology that is only visible and aware when the device is being touched, they can play BMP and JPEG image (stored on the 512MB internal memory). The two Viewsonic devices also feature a 6 in 1 card reader and USB connectivity. Combined with the 800 x 600 resolution and 500:1 contrast ratio, these devices seem pretty sweet.
The DPG807BK goes a bit farther with the addition of MPEG-1 and MPEG-4 playback and the ability to play MP3s in the background through the onboard speaker. You get all of this functionality for a cool $130. You should be able to fine both the Viewsonic DPG801BK and DPG807BK in stores now.
