Verizon Delivers on Palm Smartphone Price Cuts

Well if you've been on the fence about possibly picking up either of Palm's latest smartphones, the latest news from Verizon may be just the push you need. According to Verizon, a two-year contract will bet its customers a Pre Plus for $50 (down from $150) or the Pixi Plus for $30 (down from $80).

To sweeten the deal, consumers will also get free (limited) access to a $40 feature, which creates a mobile Wi-Fi hotspot and connect five other devices to the Internet. The service has a limit of 5GB a month however.

Both the Pre Plus and Pixi Plus feature touch screen displays, standard QWERTY keyboards and run on Palm's WebOS software.

Surprisingly, these prices are offered on top of the existing buy one; get one free promotion currently being offered on Palm's smartphones.
