V450 Laser Cordless Mouse for Notebooks

Recently, I got to experience a couple of different wireless mice as part of a comparison test. The one I liked was the Logitech V450 Laser Cordless Mouse for Notebooks.
In short, the reason I liked this mouse: it actually worked. Every other wireless mouse I've had to date did not work acceptably, including a previous Logitech model I had. The transmitters were bulky, had no range, and the mouse often "jittered" across the screen.
Not the V450. The transmitter is tiny-about half the size of my thumb. The transmitter actually gets the range it says. I plug it in, and my MacBook uses it almost right away. The transmitter also fits nicely into the bottom of the mouse.
The mouse is slightly small for my small hands, but it's not uncomfortable. It feels good. Has a scroll wheel that, in addition to scrolling smoothly and quietly, also "tilts" left and right. These actions can be programmed with the Logitech software.
The packaging is another great thing: it's actually an easy-open blister pack. They don't advertise that on the front of the box, but you'll see the sticker on the top-corner of the backside. Considering how prevalent and painful-to-open most blister packs are, an easy-open package is a selling point.
The mouse takes two AA batteries that supposedly last for a year. I wonder if that includes leaving it on all the time. The mouse actually turns off by either putting the receiver into the mouse or with a little off button on the underside of the mouse.
Once the comparison test was over, I decided that this mouse was a keeper. If you travel a lot and/or want to reduce the wire clutter on your desk, I highly recommend this mouse. Have you used this mouse? Leave your feedback in the comments.

This laser cordless mouse looks very good. Batteries that last a ear is a smart thing, because you don’ t need to charge them any more.

It remains to be seen how long the batteries last. This mouse does a much better job than in previous iterations where I had to replace the batteries weekly!
