Combine the beauty of the traditional african art with technology and the result is one of these fantastic wooden USB pen drives made in São Tomée Príncipe one of the five PALOP countries.
Design and Social Economy is the reason behind the project, developed by a designer, Pedro Alegria, in collaboration with a local non-governmental-organization they intend to help the local community by mixing their art with technology. When USB pens weren't around they would probably sell their normal wood crafts to the tourists, but now they have an opportunity to expand the business and make it international, I wonder how many people would be delighted to have one of these...
