USB and Karaoke, Together at Last

USB and Karaoke, Together at Last

Are you the type who loves heading down to your local karaoke bar on a Friday night with your friends, having a few drinks and belting out some tunes to the horror and amusement of the other patrons? Have you contemplated bringing the fun home by spending the money on a karaoke machine but have so far shamed yourself out of doing so? Well, you might finally be able to justify doing so with the CAVS IPS-11G Karaoke Station, introduced during the NAMM Summer Session over the past weekend. Besides being an iPod dock with all of the standard docking features (charging, syncing, etc.), the IPS-11G can hook up to your TV and home audio system and play a large variety of audio and video files, plus the MCG-MP3 karaoke format. Since the IPS-11G is made to work with any USB drive, your iPod doesn't need to be able to play the karaoke files – just store them on its hard drive and the dock does the translation.

With the high availability of karaoke files online (just do a Google search and you'll find pretty much anything), stocking your new toy won't be hard – just make sure to soundproof your living room so your neighbors don't call to complain!
