14U news has a review of the freakish looking Nokia 7600. In summary? Looks unusual, does nothing great.
If you're one of those folks that crave something different, then this might be a good choice. If you prefer to be on the bleeding edge of tech (not fashion) then look elsewhere, the 7600 looks pretty standard, feature-wise.
I4U: Nokia 7600 Review
Personally, I reckon that the basic design of existing phones works - for me, at least. What I want is better options, more cheaply. I want bluetooth headsets with huge battery lives that are so small and light you forget about them. I want my phone to call out on the landline when I'm in range, no, even better, I want it to decide how to call out based on how I tell it to decide. I want my music device to use the same headset, and I want the music to pause when the phone rings. I want my PDA integrated with my phone, integrated with my camera, and my music player, uploading to my website and helping me tie my life together.
I'm a convergance junkie - make them work together more, don't worry about building them all into one mis-shapen box, but give me ways to tie everything together, give me the power to link, to script, to control my devices.
Right. That's enough of that, back to regular postings.
