Tech News Around The World

I am amazed at how extendable the Nintendo DS truly is. For a device that was designed to play games, with the right hardware and software, it can do oh so much more.
Nintendo of Japan has released the DS 1Sev TV Tuner. It's a tv antenna that plugs into the DS cartridge slot. You can watch TV complete with closed captioning and take snapshots of the action. It also supposedly has a mode where it automatically takes snapshots when the closed captioning changes. Think a picturebook for your TV shows.
The tuner is, unfortunately, only available in Japan. One wonders if such an invention will work in the US or if this device will make it's away across the Pacific. We'll just have to wait and see.

The flattening is a movement related to high-end technologies. ¿Do you have any information on this? I think the student who started it lives in US and has recently published a bestseller!
