The TV Timer affixes to your outlet so it cannot be easily removed. From there, it can be set up to record, and then protected with a specific PIN number. I'm guessing this might be a device that a parent would use while he or she is home with the kids, because it looks easy to bypass if the parents aren't home.
You can purchase the TV Timer at Gizoo for about $50. However, it looks like it's made for European-style outlets only. Better get an adapter while you're online shopping.
