Treo 650 Black Tie Edition

If you're the sort of person who goes for the U2 iPod because of the look and you're a Treo fan, you might be interested in the Black Tie edition of the Treo 650, made by Palm to celebrate their 10th anniversary (has it really been 10 years? I feel like I'm still getting used to their name change). Like the U2 iPod, the differences between the Black Tie edition and its standard predecessor are almost purely cosmetic; black styling and a special silicone coating replace the standard 650 look, along with the updated PalmOne logo. Toss in a hard shell case and a multi-function stylus and you've got the package. Palm even made this particular version "unlocked" so you can start using it with your existing GSM/GPRS service plan, instead of waiting for your cell provider to put out its own version.
That said, if you like what you see you're going to have to go hunt down a version from a secondary retailer or wait until Palm makes more (assuming that's a possibility): even though the phone launched two days ago, it's already out of stock on Palm.com.
