Presented earlier this month at CES was the new model of the Protégé laptop series made by Toshiba, the R400. And just today I got the news that the device is now available to be ordered at ToshibaDirect. For the people that missed the features/specifications of this little beast, you should at least know the basic at least, which includes a Core Duo Processor U2500 @ 1.20Ghz + 2GB of RAM + basic 80GB on the hard-drive. The display is probably the greatest feature, it can rotate and gives a wider view angle so that it is easy accessible even for the people located in awkward places when comparing to the location of the laptop. The security level was also taken seriously, there are 4 options (Finger Print Reader, Password Security, Security Cable Lock Slot, Hot Key Security) to make the portable computer more secure. On the connectivity section there is also a surprise, which is the Integrated EVDO - Verizon Wireless Service/System. The price is the only problem = $3,500
