The Tinchilla Can Cooler
We're not quite there yet (the windchill must be something like five degrees here in New York) but eventually the colder parts of the country will be out of the winter and into the hot, hot summer. Now, we all know there's nothing like a cool drink to lower the internal temperatures on those hot days and, at the same time, that one definition of hell is finding that your refrigerator hasn't had time to cool your beverage cans yet, leaving you with dry-mouthed anticipation and not a little frustration. Enter the Tinchilla, a $10 item from CyberCandy that claims to chill a can in 60 seconds using ice and thermal conduction. Thermal conduction, for those of you not in the know, is all about the spinning, which might make you wonder if the Tinchilla is safe for sodas. Fear not, says CyberCandy: all that "jiggling about" doesn't lead to a carbonated explosion afterwards.
