Just For Fun
by Eric Hanson on February 17, 2007

The toy is called Rubik's Revolution; it looks a bit like the original Rubik's Cube (see photo) but features six software-based games that use, according to the press release, "light, sound and voice effects with numerous ways to play and multiple levels waiting to be unlocked." However, details about how these games work (or even how the device operates) are very sketchy, possibly because Rubik's Revolution doesn't come out until this summer or possibly (likely even, to my mind) because Techno Source paid a lot of money to use the Rubik name and design on their toy as a way of boosting hype. I guess we'll see if Rubik's Revolution takes off when it comes out, but I'm not expecting much.
