The Skype Hardware Phone Revolution Continues
I think I panned the last Skype hardware phone I blogged about, but at least this new Skype phone from USRobotics doesn't have those silly WiFi pretentions (and as a concequence, retails for $50.00 instead of $250.00). The phone itself is pretty straightforward: it plugs into a USB 1.1 or 2.0 slot, workslinks with the SkypeOut service so you can call outside of the Skype network and has a blue back-lit LCD that works with Skype Caller ID. For $25 less, you can get the mini version of the phone, which lacks the LCD but looks a bit easier for the mobile warriors to carry around.
