The Cisco/Apple Lawsuit over the iPhone
Filed in archive Mobile Phones by Mark Rollins on January 11, 2007

for the past few days, this is the great product that Apple's Steve Jobs is hyping up to no end at the recent MacWorld conference. The device is widescreen/touchscreen interface with power over email, web browsing, maps, music. You name it, it's got it. Now it also has a lawsuit on its hands. Cisco says that the iPhone name violates its trademark of a Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) product that was officially launched three weeks ago. Let us hope that this little disagreement will not blow out of proportion like the recent feud with Rosie O'Donnell and Donald Trump. So far, Cisco is only mad because the name is being used, not the technology.
