Thanko Vonia: Bone Conduction Means Music Without Headphones
Putting an MP3 player in a headband or other sports/jogging accessory isn't new, but Thanko takes it a step further with the Vonia. The Vonia has a little pouch in it that looks like it was designed for the ever-so-popular iPod Shuffle.

The one major difference between the Thanko Vonia and other sports/MP3 kits. There is no place for the headphones, because the Vonia uses bone-conduction technology. This apparently gives you the ability to listen to your tunes using vibrations that travel from the emitter to your inner ear using your skull.

This is the first I've heard of bone-conduction technology. Something tells me that it won't be the last if it works better than headphones. Personally, I could use private sound that would not require me to stick something in my ear.
