Years ago you purchased your new television from the local hardware store and after having driven down to the store, walked past the plumbing supplies and furnaces, you selected the unit best suited to your needs and a pair of burly men showed up later in the week both to deliver the new set and remove the old one. While most change is for the better, one national store chain feels as though the television purchasing process has become too impersonal.
Target customers who purchase TVs in-store are about to have the option to have the units shipped to their home and installed (prices ranging from $99 to $249). The service will be provided by Zip Express, a firm that boasts 16,000 installers from coast to coast and delivery to every ZIP code in the United States. While they're there, other service options include wall mounting, recycling of your old TV sets and setting up video-game consoles/ surround sound.
