Tankpitstop

Tankpitstop
I always love it when someone develops a gadget that is a long time coming. The Tankpitstop is one of them.

The Tankpitstop uses a robot arm to open the gas tank lid, unscrew the gas cap, then pump the gas. I don't know how it does it, but the inventor Nico van Staveren says that he was inspired by a robotic arm milkinglinks a cow. The Tankpitstop sounds simple enough, but I can't help but wonder how it can do these precise actions.

I'm also wondering if a gas consumer will ever have to get out of his or her car again once this technology gets implemented. Something tells me that the credit card readers will need to be moved closer to the driver's side window.
