The Digital Private Eye is a hidden camera and recorder to keep your house safe from the Christmas burglars, it has some tricks to fool people into thinking it has infra-red features but it actually doesn't have them.

The recorder made by Swann Communications has a motion detector that makes the inside start working and take pictures when it feels there is any movement that shouldn't exist, these pictures are stored on a SD memory cardlinks and the data can be afterwards transferred to your computer. It comes with a 1GB SD memory card that handle up to 30,000 images in low or medium resolution of course. It has two working modes that do the following: one makes use of the motion detector sensors and takes pictures; the other works like a webcam and can record video at 30FPS that goes directly into your computer, also using the sensors.

The Swann Digital Private Eye costs $200 at Amazon
