Consider this an update from the November post about Streamload.

Hot news right here, the official announcement will only be made by Monday but my secret agent got the hands on this...

Streamload will officially launch their online media center a.k.a. Streamload MediaMax, on January 16th with some improvements becoming one of the best free services out there in the category of "free online storage".

One of the "new good things" is the upgrade of the storage capacity from 10GB to 25GB + you'll also have access to other service goodies, all this for free.
If you want more space, you can take another step and get the premium service at a cost of $9.95 (paid annually) per month for 250GB of space.

VideoShare is another new feature, it lets you create video albums and share them easily keeping the good or bad quality that they always had, even high definition videos.

"Many camcorder users are frustrated when it comes to sharing videos due to capacity and file-size limitations and steep learning curves," said Steve Iverson, president and CEO of Streamload. "We have removed capacity limits and created a service that is so easy to use that anyone can better enjoy and manage their entire digital media collection in one central, secure, and always accessible place. Our free service, powered by our proprietary file storage technology, is more compelling than any paid-subscription service available today."

One of the things that really bothers me with services like this, is not having/displaying a progress bar for when you're uploading big files (or even small) and that's a feature that MediaMax has covered, thanks!
