Sprint’s First 4G Phone Coming Next Week

Sprint is set to unveil the HTC Supersonic, the first handset compatible with its fourth-generation data network (4G).
The device is rumored to run on Sprint's new WiMax network for faster connection speeds (up to 10 times faster than current networks) which the struggling company hopes will turn its poor sales stats around.
To date, Sprint only offers WiMax in only a few dozen cities (Atlanta, Baltimore, Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas, Las Vegas, Philadelphia, Portland and Seattle for example) But the company plans to expand service to many more locations including Boston, Houston, New York, San Francisco and Washington, D.C. within this year.
