SoonR Comes to Mac
It's a bit like remote PC, but via cell phone...and you can make international calls with it. It's called SoonR and it's been available for PCs since last year. On Thursday, the company announced you can now use SoonR with a Mac. What does SoonR do? It can turn any cell phone with data access capabilities into something darn near a Smart Phone (like a Treo or a Blackberry) by allowing a user to connect to their computer, work with programs like Outlook and move around files. The company recently added capability to work with Skype, the hugely popular free VoIP software, so people can use their cellphone to make free international calls. A premium service, still in the works, will allow users to get access to their computer even if it's turned off.
