Sony PSP Go Looks Less Attractive Day After Day

When the PSP Go was first announced, I had a twinge of excitement. My interest was peaked, not because I am a big fan, but because I love new technology. The design was fun, if not borrowed from the Sony Mylo. Then Sony kept price news to a minimum and announce a UMD conversion program. As time went on, my interest continued to grow.
Then reality hit.
Sony is charging $249 for a device that will certainly be cheaper to produce then the current PSP 3000. On board RAM is cheaper than UMD drives, and the prices of the other components have come way down. Then, Sony announced a price cut for the PSP 3000 in Japan; the old hardware is 15% cheaper, and this will probably be followed by worldwide price cuts. Sony has also announced some fantastic bundles coming soon. Personally, I don't care about the Hannah Montana PSP 3000 bundle, but the Assassin Creed Bloodlines bundle, for only $199 (possibly $179 with a price cut) will be fantastic. Lastly, Sony has announced their will be NO conversion of UMD games for PSP Go owners. All PSP enthusiasts that have loved the PSP will have to either abandon their UMD collection or dump it with the hope of getting a download credit.
Sorry Sony, I think the PSP Go is going to fail epically. I am a gamer, and a gadget geek, but if you manage to destroy any excitement that I have; you have really screwed up.
