Sonim XP3 Is a Seriously Tough Phone
Filed in archive Mobile Phones by Chris Matier on August 24, 2009
I would cry if I broke my phone. I seriously baby the thing; it is one of the drawbacks of owning an iPhone. I am so afraid of breaking it that I never truly enjoy it. The Sonum XP3 is a rugged, full-featured phone that is not only super-strong, but also a heck of a lot of fun. I wonder if I would enjoy my phone more if it wasn't a delicate little flower like the iPhone.

I am not going to tell you just how rugged the Sonum XP3 is; I will let the video below speak for itself. I will tell you that it isn't just a butt-ugly featureless brick. The phone actually has a nice list of features. This unlocked phone is ready to run on any GSM network (AT&T, T-Mobile, etc). It features an MP3 player, FM radio, and a 2MP camera. Also, it comes with a three year, no questions asked warranty. If you can manage to break it (just watch the video ok), it will be replaced for free. Technically, as long as you don't lose it, you can beat the heck out of the thing and get a new one in a year. Fantastic! The Sonum XP3 does cost $399 because there is no carrier subsidy, and it is available now from BestBuy.
