Smile! You’re on PSP Cam!
What's the best way to get back at a gadget competitor that's beating the pants off you? Come out with something that makes your gadget a little cooler and hope that people take the bait. In this case, it's the battle between the PSP and DS…and Sony's decided to up the odds, announcing that they're releasing a camera peripheral that shoots 640×400 images at 1.3 megapixels, or 480 x 272 30 frame-per-second motion JPEGs of up to 15 seconds each. Not exactly impressive, but what have I said in the past about convergence? It all comes together eventually and we have to take these smaller, less useful steps along the way. The camera will be out (in Japan) on November 2nd.
