Signeo SN-A800
The Japanese company Signeo comes out with a strange looking MP3 player, starting with the shape and ending with the buttons – it's a first of a kind in terms of visual and some new features too. At CNet they had the kindness of reviewing the Signeo SN-A800 and between the pros and cons, the final decision comes down to the price which is kind of expensive. $170 for 512MB and $250 for the 1GB version are prices that can't be comparable with the common MP3 players, that's the value of having a piece designed by Marc Newson.
One of the fresh features that seems cool is related with the playback speed of the songs, there are also other ones like:
adjust the record gain, use the player as a text viewer and play games
It supports the usual formats (MP3/WMA/OGG/WAV) and the important battery life can last 11 hours – not too good and not very bad, I would consider it normal. A positive point on the Signeo SN-A800 is present when comparing this player to the iPod Nano – it's actually a bit thiner than the Apple product.
