Should Your Next Mobile Phone Be WiFi Enabled?

I recently wrote a piece on whether or not you should get a WiFi-enabled mobile phone. It seems to have gotten a fair amount of play, and it certainly can't hurt to get more. :)

My basic thesis is that for the average person, unless you have a specialized service that actually uses the WiFi, it's not needed. Those individuals who make heavy use of data services from their mobile phone would benefit from having WiF on their handset. The comments I've seen so far seem to prove my point.

What do you think? Join in on the conversation and let me know if you agree or not!

That’s one thing that Apple did right with the iPhone: just use WiFi when you can find it, and don’t ask unnecessary questions. It’d be nice to see the other manufacturers implement the same strategy.
