Boasting a resolution of 720p at 30fps, the blue VPC-WH1BL and the yellow VPC-WH1YL include a 30x optical zoom, 2.5 inch display, 3 hours and 20 minutes of film time per battery charge, and a flash for the 2MP stills you can shoot with the thing. You also get HDMI out and you can store the MPEG-4, H.264 Video on SD or SDHC card. In fact, a 16GB card can store over 3 hours of video in HD or almost 6 hours of SD. The Sanyo HD cameras also include image stablization and face recoginition. All in all, they seem like a pretty rugged and complete package.
Available now, both the VPC-WH1BL and VPC-WH1YL will cost you $399. If you order soon, you can have it in time for your summer escapades.
