Portable Media Players
by tiago on August 21, 2006

As I mentioned earlier in June, Sandisk was producing a new mp3 player with 8GB of flash memory and today was the day to officially launch the new product with some surprises in the middle. The support of a micro SD card to give an extra 2GB of space was already known, but the cut down on prices wasn't expected and when compared to other devices it really makes a difference. The new Sansa e280 will cost approximately $250 which is the current price of a 4GB iPod Nano, all the other models also had their price reduced.
PS - Today, Sansa e280 with 8GB of flash memory became world's largest capacity flash-based MP3 player.
