Samsung to Release 3.2 Megapixel Camera Phone

Convergence, man. It's coming. Its latest scion is the Samsung SCH-A990, a phone coming to the US via Verizon Wireless in Q3 that sports a 3.2 megapixel camera phone. Yes, you read that correctly: 3.2 megapixels, well in the range of most consumer grade digital cameras in terms of quality. The phone comes with some basic editing tools and a flash memory slot for saving additional pictures, plus the usual VCAST features, bluetooth, etc. – all of the goodies you'd expect from a modern cell phone. Of course, you'll be paying through the nose for all of this convergence; I've seen an MSRP of about $400 listed. But having that kind of photographic power in your pocket and being able to send the results to friends and family instantly? Awesome.
