Samsung R55 Hybrid Laptop
With all the hubbub on hybrid cars, it was just a matter of time before they hit the information technology world. Case in point, the Samsung R55 claimed to have a "hybrid hard drive" that consumes 32% less power, offers a 26% increase in data reading, and boosts data-writing by 71%.
If those stats aren't impressive enough, it has a 80GB 5,400 rpm drive along with a 256MB flash drive. Unfortunately, this is one stat that might not impress you: the price. It runs about $1,923 USD.
Of course, everything that is labeled "Hybrid" is pretty expensive these days. But the Samsung R55 is not as Hybrid as the Prius. It's simply using a buzzword to its advantage.
