Rotary Cellular Phone

The first thing that came to mind when I saw this gizmo was, why? I have childhood memories of my grandmothers rotary phone, I vaguely recall it taking a year to dial. Nonetheless, some enterprising geek, most likely in an attempt to impress the ladies with his technical prowess, has turned an old rotary phone into a portable GSM mobile phone. Obviously, I use the term "portable" loosely in this case.
The behemoth uses a GM862 cellular module
from Telit that uses 900MHz/1800MHz/1900MHz cellular bands. The battery can run the phone for 4-5 days, though to recharge you have to open the case of the phone and attach the charger. I see an added benefit that perhaps the designers didn't think of as well. Who would want to steal it? This has to be the least likely phone to get stolen on the planet. And if some would be thief did decide to attempt to abscond with your giant phone, you could always beat them into submission with the giant handset.
