Retro-modern
I'm rather a fan of vinyl – I'm not one of the audio-purists who insist that vinyl sounds better, but I do like it. I have an ever growing collection, which I listen to quite regularly. I DJ once in a while as well, and the feel of spinning from Vinyl beats any other form, hands down (for me, at least).
I find, when listening to music, that I get more involved with the music on vinyl – I hae to interact with it more, I pay more attention to it.
What it comes down to, is that I like it. So I collect it.

I like the look of this device – a combination of old and new – a laser turntable. Since there's no direct contact with the media, the record stays in pristine condition – great for all those old picture discs you bought, but never listened to. If you're a collector, who loves your collection, and doesn't want to risk it, this is probably a good investment.
For me, however, it's probably overkill. My elderly technics turntable will do the job.
