Recall on Lexar USB Drives
If you purchased a Lexar JumpDrive® FireFly or Secure II in April or May and you've noticed it gets really, really hot (like hot enough to burn you), you're not alone: apparently the problem is dangerous enough that Lexar issued a recall for 66,000 of the drives because they have a potential for overheating. Customers who own one of the two effected drives have the option of trading their drive in immediately for a different model of the same size or getting a new version of the same model if they're willing to wait two weeks. Want to get your recall started? Lexar has provided a form to get things going.
