The Quiet Alarming can be one of the simple, yet most useful ideas I've seen in a while.
If you use your cellphone as an alarm clock (like I do), and the maximum volume isn't enough to wake you up, just insert the phone inside a glass, put it in the best direction (to your ears) and let the glass effect do the rest. It will boost the alarm volume and lets hope it turns out to be enough to make you get out of bed.
