QuickPhone Machine by Vodafone

A mobile phone vending machine could be a good idea for people that want those easy "pay as you go" phones, and these machines are available to the public today, at Manchester in UK. It's still only in a trial version but if good results appear, it would certainly grow into other areas of the city.

They're called QuickPhone Machines, the good thing is there are 3 different cellphones (which can be seen spinning slowly on display) you can pick from, and the bad thing is that it looks too easy to steal, or maybe not. More information on the links below:

Customers can select SIM cards from 5 and different phones costing from 30 to 50 by using a touch screen with different language options - Manchester Online

A spokesman further expounded: These will be popular with people who need a phone in an emergency, either because they have lost their phone or it has run out of battery. They are for people who know what they want and who don't want to go through the rigmarole of talking to a sales assistant." - Channel Register
