Because no one's figured out a way to convert the rays of the sun into a cheap, portable power source, we all have to rely on re-engineered versions of the same batteries people have been using for the past two hundred years to power all of the gadgets that support our mobile lifestyles…and those batteries have a nasty habit of running down, especially at inconvenient times. To solve this problem, a company called Proporta.com has created a product called the Proporta USB mobile device Charger, which has a whole bunch of connections, or tips, for charging a variety of devices, with the option to buy more for your device if necessary. MacNN has a full review, but I think the coolest part is the ability to carry around an additional battery that will work on whichever of your devices needs the juice most.
